RIFT vase

Rift is a vase made from polished stainless steel. A narrow crack opens the surface of the metal. A flower placed inside appears to emerge through this rupture, while the mirrored steel reflects and multiplies petals and light. The angled geometry of the form introduces tension to the object. Within the polished metal, nature and technology meet. The flower appears to have pushed through the steel, suggesting a quiet image of organic growth overcoming a technical material.
