OLITH
€1,200.00
Olith is a light object shaped by a brutalist approach to material and structure.
A slab of marble is deliberately shattered. Chance determines the fracture, revealing forms already latent within the stone.
From that moment, control returns. The fragments are carefully reassembled and held together by a precise geometry, composing a new order from what accident produced. The process follows a simple question: what does the material want to become?
At the center, an orb of light is embedded within the broken stone. Illumination emerging through rupture.
The marble is reclaimed green stone from a sacral building in Freising, salvaged during its transformation by the architecture office Bruno Fioretti Marquez. The luminous orb is a recycled glass lamp developed in collaboration with a lamp manufactory in Prenzlauer Berg.
A composition of reclaimed materials.
Where coincidence meets control.
